Grassroots aviation

Built around open hangars

Six local aviators met over folding lawn chairs beside a grass runway in 2018. Today our non-profit collective keeps community flight approachable and shared across generations.

Volunteer hands

Community care on the apron

Our members tend the communal tools, host monthly weather briefings, and guide student pilots through cross-country calculations without commercial dues or gatekeeping.

Every maintenance clinic and flight-planning table operates on shared stewardship. Senior logbook holders work beside first-solo learners to inspect magnetos, read density altitude charts, and unpack flight safety fundamentals.

Our charter

Aviation belongs to curious neighbors, open toolboxes, and shared morning skies.

We trade country-club pretense for welcoming aprons, transparent volunteer governance, and open doors for every aspiring flyer.

Leave clean floors

Coffee brews before the morning inversion breaks. Early hours give quiet runway conditions and unhurried hangar conversations.

Pass along real pilot reports, local thermal patterns, and turf runway moisture conditions to everyone planning a departure.

Every experienced cross-country pilot mentors someone preparing for their checkride, radio license, or first cross-state flight.

We sweep hangar bays, stow tiedowns, and replenish communal grease rags together after the last prop stops spinning.
